Kaye Martin
Senior Vice President of Operations

Kaye Martin is the senior vice president of operations at Delta Dental of Tennessee. In her role at Delta Dental, she oversees the Group Services Department which consists of the management of activities for more than 1,000 groups comprising more than 800,000 members who submit claims electronically as well as manually; Claims Processing Department which processes more than 100,000 claims a month including analyzing, assessing adjustments and refunds, and more; and the Customer Service Department which receives more than 26,000 calls per month with an average speed of answer of 12 seconds.

Kaye has consistently grown through the ranks at Delta Dental over the past 14 years. In her original position, she was responsible for recruiting the provider panel for the TennDent program as well as administering the claims processing, QA, and utilization management for approximately 250,000 children in the government funded program. Additionally, she was responsible for the management of the Professional Relations Department and the initial creation of the DDTN Customer Service Department prior to her assignment to DDTN Claims Processing and related services.

Previously, Kaye worked for the Tennessee Department of Health, where she was a unit manager responsible for the Board of Medical Examiners and eight other related Boards. During her 20-year tenure with the State, Kaye also served as the Administrator for the Board of Dentistry, Emergency Medical Services, and the Hospital Licensure/Health Care Facilities. She was instrumental in the implementation of new laws and composing rules and regulations for each of the assigned Health Related Boards as well as establishing new boards as created by legislation.

A native of Nashville, Kaye attended David Lipscomb University.
