Tom Perry started with Delta Dental of Tennessee in 1989 to develop and direct financial operations. As Delta Dental grew from $2.5 million in revenue, Tom’s duties evolved and in 1998 he was named senior vice president and CFO.

Tom directs the accounting and budgeting operations and has oversight of underwriting. He manages the investment portfolios and chairs Delta Dental’s Finance Committee, in addition to monitoring and promoting their position on state and federal legislative initiates. Tom is also the liaison for matters referred to outside legal counsel.

Tom graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. While working as an accountant for the State of Tennessee, Tom attended the Nashville School of Law were he received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1979.

Tom has served as a bank director since 1983, starting with Cheatham State Bank in Ashland City. In 2000 he became a founder and is a current director of Community Bank and Trust of Ashland City where he chairs the Audit, Investment and Compliance committees, is a member of the Executive Committee, and serves as the Corporate Secretary.

Tom and his wife Susie live on her family farm in Clarksville. Susie taught school in Cheatham County for 30 years, retiring in 2003. Tom and Susie have one son, Ben, who practices law in Ashland City, Tennessee.

Tom is active in church activities and enjoys playing golf, travel and photography.
